What is the Image to PDF & PDF to Image Converter?

This converter works in both directions. Drop in photos or screenshots (JPG, PNG, WebP) and it builds a single PDF with the pages in the order you choose. Drop in a PDF and it renders each page as a PNG or JPG at the resolution you pick. Everything happens in your browser using the PDF.js and canvas APIs, so scanned IDs, bank statements and contracts are never uploaded anywhere.

How to convert images to PDF

1. Drag your images into the drop zone, or click to browse.
2. Drag the thumbnails into the order you want the pages to appear.
3. Choose a page size (A4, Letter, or fit to each image), orientation, and margin. Use zero margin for scans and a small margin for photos.
4. Optionally tick “resize large images” to cap each image at 2,000 px on the long side. Text stays legible and the PDF drops from tens of megabytes to a couple.
5. Click Convert and download the PDF.

How to convert a PDF to images

1. Drop the PDF into the tool.
2. Pick the pages you need. Converting only page 12 of a 40-page file is far faster and smaller than converting everything.
3. Choose a resolution: 72 DPI for thumbnails, 150 DPI for slides and web, 300 DPI for print or when you will crop into a small area.
4. Choose PNG for pages that are mostly text or diagrams, JPG for pages that are mostly photographs.
5. Download individual pages or all of them as a ZIP.

Why the settings matter

The two most common complaints about image-to-PDF tools are a blurry scan that a bank rejects and a 30 MB file that an email bounces. Both come from the same two settings. Resolution decides how sharp text is: a PDF page has no fixed pixel size, so a 300 DPI export of an A4 page is about 2,480 × 3,500 px, while 72 DPI is 600 × 850. File size depends on the pixel dimensions of the images inside the PDF, which is why resizing camera photos to ~2,000 px before conversion cuts size by 80–90% with no visible loss. One thing the converter cannot do: a PDF made from images has no text layer, so it is not searchable and you cannot copy from it. If you need that, run OCR after conversion.

Is it safe to convert my passport or bank statement here?

Yes. Conversion runs entirely in your browser and the page makes no uploads. You can confirm by going offline after the page loads and converting again.

Why is my PDF so large?

The images inside it are full camera resolution. Turn on “resize large images” or resize them to about 2,000 px on the long side first; text remains perfectly legible.

What DPI should I use for PDF to image?

150 for screens, slides and sharing; 300 for print or heavy cropping; 72 for thumbnails.

Can I combine PDFs or reorder pages of an existing PDF?

Not in this tool. Convert the pages you need to images, reorder them, and convert back to a PDF. For frequent merging, a dedicated PDF editor is better.

Does it support HEIC from iPhone?

Not directly; browsers cannot decode HEIC. Export the photo as JPG from the Photos app first, or set the camera to “Most Compatible”.

Is there a limit on the number of images?

No fixed limit. Very large batches are limited only by your device’s memory; 100 photos at 2,000 px is fine on a modern laptop or phone.
